Job Summary

This role is an integral part of the Network Operations team and is mainly responsible for applying technical leadership and end‑to‑end process ownership – from the network requirements collection phase to the design and documentation implementation and operational support of each project. This position will also assist with documentation implementation and operational support of each project and participation in a joint on‑call support rotation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provision deploy and maintain troubleshoot network equipment at multiple client sites

Diagnose underlying network architecture issues and propose modifications for problem resolution

Coordinate with third‑parties for network maintenance and service‑affecting events

Proactively identify and report capacity constraints weaknesses and potential problems before they lead to outages

Work with the remainder of Network Operations to keep our network infrastructure operating at peak efficiency

Create lab environments to diagnose network issues or performance reviews

Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting network equipment at multiple client sites

Collaborate with customers and third‑party vendors to resolve and troubleshoot network issues

Coordinate with remainder of Network Operations to keep our network infrastructure operating at peak efficiency

Assist other internal departments with routine network infrastructure changes such as adding new subnets or provisioning switch ports

Participate in an on‑call support rotation within Operations at large including some systems‑side support duties

Work with other teams on improvements necessary to provide better service delivery

Assist on network maintenance and service‑affecting events

Assist in creation and documentation of formal processes and troubleshooting procedures

Schedule document and implement maintenance procedures when necessary

Other duties assigned as needed

Skills and Abilities

Communicate and interact with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and timely manner

Self‑starter capable of working independently and ensuring to meet deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written

Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities

Excellent structured problem‑solving skills

Demonstrate time management skills with attention to detail

Ability to troubleshoot basic AV network and connection issues

Education and/or Experience
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification (or certified by date of hire)
  • Netgear, Extreme Network switch configuration for Dante and AVB
  • Familiarity with Crestron, Biamp and Think logical hardware and software
  • Basic understanding and configuration of Cisco codecs
  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 - 8 years' experience in Network Engineering in similar or related filed
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field is a plus
  • Layer 2 networking including STP V
