Director, AWS Cloud Platform & Operations; Tampa - Hybrid

We are seeking a Senior Director, Cloud Platform & Operations to lead the transformation of our technology foundation from customer-specific and legacy operating models into a standardized, cloud-native SaaS platform, primarily built on AWS. This role sits at the intersection of platform strategy, cloud engineering, and operational excellence. It is a hands‑on leadership role for a leader who can drive meaningful change at scale while maintaining high levels of reliability, security, and compliance in a regulated environment.

The Director will be accountable for modernizing how platforms and operations enable the business—improving delivery speed, developer experience, and system resilience without compromising service quality or regulatory obligations. • Own platform reliability, availability, performance, and scalability across production and non-production environments
• Establish and evolve SRE-aligned practices, including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and proactive reliability engineering
• Drive adoption of self-service infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling that improves speed and quality
• Eliminate manual processes by embedding operational knowledge, controls, and compliance into platforms and automation
• Lead the evolution from customer-specific and legacy deployments to a standardized, multi-tenant SaaS platform on AWS
• Define and execute a cloud platform strategy that supports scalability, resilience, cost efficiency, and rapid product delivery
• Leadership of existing Desktop, Cloud Architecture and Hardware teams onsite, who provide excellent service to internal employees and new hires on laptops, workstations, etc

• 10+ years of experience in cloud platforms, infrastructure, or operations roles, including team leadership experience
• Collaborate and lead Operations, Desktop and Infrastructure teams onsite in the Tampa office at least 3 days per week.
• Deep hands‑on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Cloud Watch, Terraform/Cloud Formation)
• Proven success leading cloud-native transformations at scale
• Strong experience with automation, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and Dev Ops/SRE practices
• Demonstrated ability to operate in regulated environments, preferably healthcare or life sciences
• Strong executive communication skills and ability to influence across functions
• Use of AI tools in technology is a big PLUS.
