Minimum Qualifications SummaryCertification & Education
- Must possess a current US Passport with ability to travel and work overseas.
- Must meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements available under the OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01, and Air Force Manual 17-1301.
- Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance.
Experience Required
- Strong writing, analytical, and reading skills, with effective communication abilities.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with PII, FOIA services, and telecommunications protocol for the US Department of Defense.
- Five years’ military experience.
Support the US Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands under a five-year contract. The role involves providing professional services at MACDILL AFB, Florida, supporting personnel operations, policy, administration, and FOIA services within the G-1 Manpower Directorate, both in CONUS and OCONUS.
Responsibilities- Provide FOIA services to MARCENT and subordinate commands.
- Prepare documents for release or denial under FOIA requirements.
- Complete red actions under FOIA and Privacy Act, coordinating with internal staff, agencies, law enforcement, and the public.
- Support the FOIA Requester Service Center and process at least 50 FOIA requests annually.
- Ensure compliance with DON FOIA policies, compile and submit reports, maintain FOIA coordinator listings, and conduct annual reviews.
- Participate in FOIA online activities, including case management, documentation, and website updates.
- Ensure all directives and protocols regarding PII and telecommunications are strictly followed.
- Must possess a current US Passport and meet certification requirements per OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD 8523.01, and AF Manual 17-1301.
- Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance.
- MARCENT, Mac Dill AFB, Tampa, Florida.
- Travel required to various locations within the CENTCOM AOR, including OCONUS travel on short notice.
