IAM Security, Solution & Governance Architect - Vice President

Job OverviewMUFG seeks a highly motivated IAM Solution & Governance Architect to drive the IAM technical program with cutting‑edge technology, improving security posture. The role is senior, leading IAM requirements, standards and governance across global implementations.
Responsibilities- An expert in IAM security and solutions:
Authentication, MFA, Authorization, RBAC, ABAC, , Provisioning, Privileged Access Management, Secret Management, etc. - Manage MUFG business relationships and gather IAM requirements across Business Units.
- Publish and manage IAM Security Standards and Guidelines aligned with NIST CSF, CRI, NIST 800‑63‑4, ISO frameworks.
- Publish and manage IAM technical capabilities and features to the IAM Security Standards.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure expectations meet requirements.
- Collaborate with IAM Architecture and Engineering to publish the 1‑3‑year IAM roadmap.
- Manage finances and budgets for IAM programs and projects.
- Review IAM solutions.
- Manage application onboarding and integration efforts with various IAM teams.
- Publish documentation using Confluence, spreadsheets, Word, Visio, etc.
- Create presentations for stakeholders including senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to enhance baseline processes and configuration.
- Generate reports on usage, performance, KPI, KRI, etc.
- Understand security risks and controls, analyze methods, and implement best cost‑justified solutions.
- Provide technical direction to peers and train new staff on the security team.
- 12+ years of experience in IAM technology & security.
- In‑depth knowledge of all IAM domains & technologies:
Authentication, MFA, Authorization, Identity Governance, Provisioning, RBAC, ABAC, risk‑based access control, Privileged Access Management, Secret Management, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, API Access, Encryption. - Knowledge of various IAM products:
Entra , AWS IAM, Key Vault, Cyber Ark, Ping Identity, Okta, SailPoint, etc. - A security expert with understanding of NIST, CRI, ISO and other IAM and security frameworks.
- Ability to map IAM security requirements to technology solutions.
- Act as an IAM Security Solution Architect.
- Experience creating trending, metrics, and management reports;
Power
BI experience preferred. - Experience working in complex and large‑scale environments.
- Experience operating in a hybrid‑cloud environment, including AWS & Azure.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent industry certifications. Work experience may substitute.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information System Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- MUFG’s Return to Office policy requires 4 onsite days and 1 remote day at one of Jersey City, NJ;
Tampa, FL; or Tempe, AZ offices. - Typical base pay range: $145K - $185K, plus discretionary performance‑based bonus and incentive compensation.
