Job DescriptionC3EL is seeking a cleared and experienced Journeyman Net Ops Engineer to join our team on-site at Mac Dill AFB in Tampa, FL. This position supports the Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSM-O II) Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE). The JCSE team provides en‑route, early‑entry, scalable C4 support to Regional Combatant Commands, Special Operations Command, and other agencies.
This role is considered “Mission Essential” and may require supporting 24x7 Network Operations, including 12‑hour shifts as required.
Responsibilities- Providing day‑to‑day operational routing and switching support with hands‑on experience with Cisco Routers and Switches, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, RIP, etc.)
- Troubleshooting routing protocols and end‑to‑end network performance from the Local Area Network (LAN) through a Wide Area Network (WAN) to a Campus Area Network (CAN)
- Willingness to cross‑train and support multiple technologies in an operational environment including SATCOM, Voice, and VDI/Virtualization
- Supporting system adherence to industry standards, DOD standards, DOD policies, DOD instructions, DOD directives, cybersecurity policies, and best commercial practices
- Utilizing ticketing systems for detailed documentation of outages and network change activities
- Providing technical problem resolution for a wide range of network infrastructure problems or anomalies
- Active, in‑scope U.S. Government‑issued Secret clearance
- Current DoD‑8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
- Current CCNA or equivalent certification
- High School diploma and 5+ years of prior relevant experience
