Our client, a leading global financial services company, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 140 countries. They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.

The Information Services is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across Major Global Bank's Markets, Services, Banking, Personal Banking and Global Wealth businesses. The Information Services implements state of the art technologies and operational processes which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account, corporate action, financial, documents, calendar/holiday data. The Information Services has a very diverse portfolio of clients and works in partnership with them to deploy solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.

The Price and Calendar technology team will be responsible for building the next generation holiday data platform supporting the bank's books and records and over 300 downstream consumers within the Major Global Bank's . This involves end to end responsibilities from data modeling, application design, data integration / analysis and working with the business partners and vendor data feeds for implementation.

Product, Price, and Calendar reference data is critical to the bank and must be available, accurate, and complete for global financial markets and the bank's regulatory commitments.

The VP, Applications Development Senior Manager, is a hands‑on technical management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

• Strong hold on Java (Core, JDBC, MT, Collections, I/O), Spring Boot, Akka
• Good to have exposure on functional programming based on Scala
• Exposure to Oracle DB and extensive knowledge on SQL/PL‑SQL, query tuning, sharing best practices

• Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects
• Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals
• Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations
