• Complete development efforts across the data pipeline to store, manage, and provision data to consumers.
• Actively participate in an Agile/Scrum team, following best practices.
• Write code to ensure performance and reliability of data extraction and processing.
• Support continuous process automation for data ingest.
• Advocate for and adhere to lean‑agile engineering principles (API‑first design, simple design, CI/CD, version control, automated testing).
• Work with program management and engineers to implement and document complex and evolving requirements.
• Help cultivate an environment that promotes customer service excellence, innovation, collaboration, and teamwork.
• Collaborate with a cross‑functional team that includes user experience researchers, designers, product managers, engineers, and other specialists.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• 7+ years of IT experience, including the design, management, and solutioning of large, complex data sets and models.
• Experience developing data pipelines from structured and unstructured data sources.
• Proficiency developing ETL processes and performing test and validation steps.
• Proficiency manipulating data with Python, R, SQL, and SAS.
• Strong knowledge of big data analysis and storage tools and technologies.
• Strong understanding of agile principles and ability to apply them.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and ability to apply them.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgre
  
  SQL).
• Comfortable working in version control systems such as Git.

• Experience creating and consuming APIs.
• Knowledge of DHS standards is a plus.
• Extensive experience with Python is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop visualizations using Tableau or Power
  
  BI.
• Experience developing Shell scripts on Linux.
• Demonstrated experience translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive data strategies and analytic solutions.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization and ability to explain technical terms to non‑technical audiences.
