Overview

The Implementation Advocate configures and onboards new orders for Inovalon products and services, assists others as they learn new products, and plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to agreed timelines. The role coordinates the efforts of the project team to onboard customers according to the project plan and defines objectives, managing them throughout the implementation cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables; plan, schedule, and adhere to project timelines and milestones to ensure successful execution.
  • Manage the customer onboarding experience from initial intake call to go‑live, including customization, configurations, and training.
  • Document customer requirements and configure applications to meet business processes.
  • Make configuration recommendations and perform complex implementations with minimal supervision.
  • Follow best practice guidelines for implementation and document all project activities per defined process.
  • Resolve open orders within specified guidelines and identify beneficial product opportunities for existing customers.
  • Lead functional testing of product releases, troubleshoot complex issues analytically, and elevate issues following escalation procedures.
  • Communicate project expectations with customers and participants, proactively manage scope changes, and devise contingency plans.
  • Provide assistance to team members, communicate valuable feedback, and maintain compliance with Inovalon policies and HIPAA requirements.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned and support operational and financial success of the employer.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience implementing or supporting software with high transaction volume.
  • Healthcare IT industry experience and knowledge of HIPAA transaction codes.
  • Knowledge of data security processes and healthcare EDI (ANSI X12, 835, 837, 270/271).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with  (plus).
  • Experience with SaaS, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Project management fundamentals and knowledge of ambulatory, post‑acute, and acute settings.
  • Knowledge of patient revenue cycle management, billing, and scheduling software.
  • Bi‑lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Sedentary work (long periods of sitting).
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Repetitive motions such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
  • Subject to environmental conditions.
  • Travel may include less than 5% locally for training purposes.
Compensation and Benefits

Base Compensation Range: $55,000—$78,000 USD.

Inovalon offers a competitive benefits package that may include health insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and more. Base pay may vary based on job‑related knowledge, experience, geography, and internal equity.
