the recruiting coordinator supports full-cycle recruitment activities, including screening candidates, coordinating candidate communications, and assisting with onboarding new hires. This role also supports the hr generalist with employee relations tasks, providing exposure to day-to-day hr operations and issue resolution. Responsibilities include processing new hire paperwork, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate employee records. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, and broader hr generalist functions.

- serve as a primary point of contact for candidates to ensure a positive interview and onboarding experience
- conduct applicant placement interviews (in-person, phone call, or virtual)
- maintain open and consistent communication via text, phone, and email with applicants
- complete new hire/internal transfer processing appointments, including reviewing new hire paperwork, i-9 verification, background checks, scheduling required training, etc.
- support hr generalist team with employee record maintenance, employee relations, and company policy and compliance, etc.
- participate in on-site job fairs and hiring events
- track candidate activity and disposition candidates in the applicant tracking system
- maintain confidentiality and proper storage of documents.
- provide coverage at front desk and wardrobe department as needed.
- assist the hr department in various functions, including but not limited to administrative duties and internal recruitment activities
- at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- work a flexible schedule/hour based on business needs, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- proficiency with microsoft office with a high aptitude for computer software programs
- a passion for customer service and excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multi task and work in fast paced environment
- strong organizational skills
- flexibility to perform varied duties
- must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 lbs.
- position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout an entire work shift
- perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bending floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reaching overhead, superficial grasp, and delicate hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- must be willing to comply with all united parks & resorts grooming guidelines and employment standards
- must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, including extreme heat
- consistently practice safe work habits, including the use of personal protection equipment (ppe) and reporting unsafe situations
- ability to complete all legal, company, and department training requirements within established timelines
