Responsibilities
- Evaluates the nature and urgency of inquiries to provide first-tier resolutions, utilizing problem-solving and resourcefulness to address routine issues and coordinating with subject matter experts for complex matters.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the HR framework to accurately identify and engage the appropriate functional area, including employment, benefits, payroll, employee relations, and talent management, ensuring effective and timely follow-up.
- Responds to general inquiries related to office operations, including contact information, office hours, and basic account or status updates, while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Supports HR operations by verifying employment eligibility documentation and completing Form I-9s as an authorized representative of the University, ensuring compliance with federal and institutional requirements.
- Supports review of soon-to-expire work authorizations, updating workforce authorization information and documentation within Oracle to maintain compliance and data integrity.
- Assists with document management activities, including scanning and indexing electronic records in App Enhancer, in coordination with Central Human Resources.
- Sorts and distributes correspondence, mail, and information to appropriate team members to support timely communication and operational flow.
- Manages the front desk area to ensure a professional, organized, and welcoming environment that reflects the values and service standards of the Office of Human Resources.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least three years of experience in an office or administrative support position.
