Position: Recruiter (Advanced Concepts & Technologies Division)

Overview

Location: Tampa, FL

Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Outcomes

The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes in the first year in this position:

  • Recruit candidates to fill 2 positions per month (on average) and 27 per year.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the National Security industry and the government acquisition process.
  • Complete DAU Acquisition 101 and any additional required training.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit and attract qualified candidates to fill positions within the Advanced Concepts & Technologies (ACT) Division and other Divisions and functional areas, as required.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, to include intake meetings, job posting strategy, sourcing, pre-screening and technical qualification assessments, interview coordination, evaluation, selection support, and offer execution.
  • Conduct structured interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications, technical background, cultural fit, and mission alignment.
  • Proactively source and develop qualified talent pipelines using a wide variety of channels including job boards, professional associations, networking events, community postings, and employee referral sources.
  • Conduct professional reference checks, collect and evaluate information concerning previous employment performance, responsibilities, and reliability.
  • Maintain and build an active pipeline to support a rapid turnaround on high-priority openings and surge requirements.
  • Develop position descriptions, ensuring alignment with job requirements and client needs.
  • Work with Gemini Managers to refine screening criteria, identify internal candidates, and pursue new sources of qualified candidates.
  • Work with your assigned Division Director to support, provide consultive guidance on recruiting best practices, compensation considerations, and market conditions to support timely hiring decisions.
  • Support retentions strategies in partnership with the assigned Division Director by identity trends, analyzing turnover drivers, and implementing improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, Government contacts, and external organizations to gain knowledge and generate referrals.
  • Maintain engagement with at-risk employees and alumni networks to keep them in pipeline for future opportunities and to also generate qualified referrals.
  • Provide recruiting coverage and operational support as backup for other recruiters during periods of absence, surge hiring, or competing priorities to ensure continuity of service across assigned divisions and tasks.
  • Partner with Business Development and Program Leadership to support capture and proposal efforts, including pipeline development, candidate qualification, contingent staffing plans, and rapid recruiting execution for anticipated awards.
  • Maintain professional competency through continuous learning, including completion of relevant professional development courses or training to remain current on recruiting best practices, technical hiring trends, and industry standards.
Qualifications

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Must have 3-5 years of technical recruiting experience.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking systems (ATS).
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint).

The following qualifications are desired:

  • Experience recruiting for Department of Defense (DOD) customers.
  • Familiarity with Taleo ATS System
  • Experience with Clearance Jobs recruiting tool.
  • Active DOD Secret clearance.
  • Experience with Microsoft TEAMS.

Travel: Minimal travel may be required
