We are seeking a results-oriented HRIS Project Manager who will manage medium to large-scale HRIS projects, primarily involving UKG, the Human Capital Management (HCM) application for North America. This role ensures the successful execution of projects by driving the full project lifecycle while meeting scope, timeline, and budgetary requirements. The HRIS Project Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, applying the HRIS project methodology to maintain alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
This position reports to the Director of HRIS within Human Resources.
- Take ownership of assigned projects to ensure success and meet project objectives.
- Lead HRIS projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop and maintain project charters, project plans, and other required documentation following HRIS methodology.
- Facilitate project meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders.
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs and compliance standards, including script building and execution with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, providing resolution strategies as needed.
- Track project progress, report status updates to leadership, and escalate concerns as necessary.
- Coordinate with vendors and IT teams to ensure successful system integration and implementation.
- Support change management initiatives to drive user adoption and maximize project success.
- Ensure adherence to data security, compliance, and HR technology best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactive and confident self-starter with strong organizational skills and a goal-driven approach.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage HRIS or IT projects successfully.
- Experience working with HCM systems, HR technology, or ERP implementations.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and IT controls.
- Proficiency in Smartsheet or equivalent tool for managing projects.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 applications (e.g., SharePoint, Excel, Teams).
- Ability to develop comprehensive project documentation, including charters and project plans.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work effectively.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in facilitating meetings and driving consensus among diverse groups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HR processes, HRIS best practices, and system implementation methodologies.
- Experience with change management strategies and user adoption techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in project management, preferably in HRIS, IT, or HR-related projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with HCM applications such as UKG is a plus.
