Summary
The Emergency Management Coordinator - works under the direction of the Manager of Emergency Preparedness and is responsible for creating and maintaining All-Hazards Emergency Management plans and Business Continuity Plans to ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation authorities. Supports activations and training/exercise across the organization. Will utilize company vehicles to drive between campuses as needed.
The Emergency Management Coordinator will:
- Create and maintain All-Hazards Emergency Management and business continuity plans.
- Training of individuals serving critical roles outlined in the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan & Emergency Operations
- Drafts After Actions Reports from incidents and exercises. Facilitates corrective action plans stemming from the Reports.
- Act as a liaison to first responders.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Outgoing professional with the ability to work closely with a variety of teams and individuals.
- Experience in emergency management.
- Experience in healthcare a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory, accreditation standards related to emergency preparedness including Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, OSHA, National Fire Protection Association, and others.
- Establishes and maintains a cohesive working relationship with individual department representatives, Administration, and Center incident command staff so emergent situations are handled as effectively and efficiently as possible.
- Maintains disaster equipment and supplies and ensures that all disaster resources are easily accessible and available for rapid deployment during a disaster.
EDUCATION
Associates degree in Emergency Management or other related fields plus a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in Emergency Management

In lieu of an Associates degree, a High school diploma/GED and four years (4) of relevant experience in Emergency Management will be considered.

Bachelors degree in Emergency Management and no experience will be considered.
