Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for oversight of operational and/or clinical activities, resource management, productivity and financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. Functions as advisor to unit and administration and sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational and quality results. Collaborates with hospital and department leaders to ensure compliance with applicable legal and accreditation standards within the department.
Interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Develops and implements departmental or organizational policies and procedures. Supervises staff to ensure accountability and stewardship of operational, clinical, financial, and human resources, in compliance with departmental goals and objectives.
Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of TGH.
- Master's Degree Pharmacy Or Master's Degree Healthcare Admin Or Master's Degree Business Admin.
- License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State - Pharmacist.
- Five (5) years' progressive experience within pharmacy setting, applicable to job duties.
- Completion of a pharmacy residency accredited by ASHP in a relevant environment might count as work experience.
- Must be licensed by the Florida Board of Pharmacy or must obtain license within 6 months of hire.
- Sterile compounding experience - Highly Preferred.
- Strong knowledge in compounding regulations such as USP 795, 797, 800, and state/federal rules.
