Job DescriptionLeverages technology for surveillance and reporting, ensuring data integrity and timely submission to applicable regulatory systems. Collaborates with internal teams and external partners including public health officials, healthcare coalitions, and vendors to enhance infection prevention outcomes. Advocates for evidence-based practices, maintaining adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements. Participates in research and quality improvement initiatives, differentiating between QI and research, and disseminating results through education and consultation.
Contributes to product evaluation and cost-effectiveness initiatives, supporting organizational goals through informed decision-making and business case development. Other duties as assigned. Leads the implementation and continuous improvement of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program, aligning initiatives with organizational quality and safety goals. Monitors compliance with IPC standards and conducts surveillance using epidemiologic principles and statistical tools to detect disease trends, clusters, and outbreaks.
Evaluates the effectiveness of infection surveillance systems and modifies plans based on outcome data and benchmarking. Conducts facility rounding, audits, and IPC assessments, identifying gaps in cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and providing actionable feedback.

- Bachelor's [Preferred]
- health science, healthcare delivery, public health, laboratory science, or related field. Advanced degree/ internship could be considered in lieu of experience.
- 2+ in clinical setting, infection control or public health. [Required]
- Infection Control Certification (CIC) [Preferred]
