Behavioral Health Technician (Weekends 7a-7p)

Salary: $16.25 hourly

Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 12‑hour shifts (7a‑7p)

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for daily interactions with patients, maintaining patient schedules, headcounts and providing 24‑hour observation of patients’ activities and locations.

• Maintain daily observations of patients at various levels of care at the required time intervals.
• Conduct all interactions in a professional and ethical manner.
• Follow facility regulations regarding infection control, incident reporting and risk management.
• Perform point‑of‑care testing such as urine drug screens, pregnancy tests, and breathalyzers.
• Conduct on‑person body searches of all new clients during admission.
• Conduct searches of all patients as required.
• Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Transport patients in approved vehicles to approved events.
• Navigate basic computer skills.
• Perform other duties and assignments as deemed qualified and appropriate.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance to drive a 14‑passenger van.
• At least one year of experience in the behavioral health field preferred.
• Ability to clearly communicate in various forms: verbal, written, text.
• Understanding of community support groups (AA, SMART Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, ALANON, CODA, etc.).
• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Waived testing, CLIA.
