Primary Function
Assist counseling staff in implementing therapy assignments, charting behavioral observations, and facilitating recovery support groups.
Scope of Work- Engage and motivate criminal justice participants in a supportive role both one-on-one and in groups to help them accomplish service plan goals.
- Provide case management and community outreach to monitor participants in an outpatient setting.
- Facilitate Recovery Support and Life Skills groups to criminal justice offenders.
- Transport participants to appointments and pro‑social activities.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and work with the team in coordinating pro‑social activities for participants.
- Participate in clinical staffing and team meetings.
- Document participant activities and monthly progress summaries.
- Perform tasks to meet Department of Corrections contractual requirements for the program.
- Provide administrative support as required.
- Maintain client rights as defined by DCF.
- Maintain the highest standards in ethical conduct and confidentiality.
- Maintain clinical records in accordance with Agency standards.
- Follow all established Agency policies and procedures.
- Model ideals of integrity, loyalty, and teamwork.
- Sustain a positive, caring, supportive, recovery‑oriented environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports; ability to speak effectively; ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Employee must occasionally work outside.
