• Specialize in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
• Support the initial and ongoing success of the mammography service in the practice in which you work; assist the practice to ensure all age‑appropriate patients have annual screening mammograms.
• Prepare patients for the mammographic procedure and explain procedures to reduce anxieties.
• Move mammographic equipment to specific positions and adjust controls to set exposure factors based on radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
• Practice radiation protection techniques using beam‑restrictive devices and patient shielding.
• Follow prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment.
• Examine digital images for image quality.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order at all times.
• Perform all required QA testing required to comply with MQSA, ACR and State requirements/regulations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Process routine paperwork and data entry.
• Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
• Prepare all required reports and data pursuant to MQSA and State requirements.
• Assist the radiologist with QA/QC reporting.
• Perform mammography tracking following MQSA guidelines and requirements.
• Maintain all QA documents necessary to exceed Annual FDA Inspection requirements.
• Obtain and maintain ACR accreditation.

• Must be up to date on all CME credits.
• Must be very patient‑centric, compassionate, and computer savvy.
• Able to perform a variety of technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Flexible with the ability to multi‑task.
• Willing to cover on a moment's notice.
• Mammography experience: 2 years (Required).
• License: ARRT (Required).
