- Specialize in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
- Support the initial and ongoing success of the mammography service in the practice in which you work; assist the practice to ensure all age‑appropriate patients have annual screening mammograms.
- Prepare patients for the mammographic procedure and explain procedures to reduce anxieties.
- Move mammographic equipment to specific positions and adjust controls to set exposure factors based on radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
- Practice radiation protection techniques using beam‑restrictive devices and patient shielding.
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment.
- Examine digital images for image quality.
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order at all times.
- Perform all required QA testing required to comply with MQSA, ACR and State requirements/regulations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Process routine paperwork and data entry.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
- Prepare all required reports and data pursuant to MQSA and State requirements.
- Assist the radiologist with QA/QC reporting.
- Perform mammography tracking following MQSA guidelines and requirements.
- Maintain all QA documents necessary to exceed Annual FDA Inspection requirements.
- Obtain and maintain ACR accreditation.
- Must be up to date on all CME credits.
- Must be very patient‑centric, compassionate, and computer savvy.
- Able to perform a variety of technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
- Flexible with the ability to multi‑task.
- Willing to cover on a moment's notice.
- Mammography experience: 2 years (Required).
- License: ARRT (Required).
