This position requires a high school diploma and four years of related experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Degree Equivalency Clause:
Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

Community Education & Outreach
  • Actively educate the local community about Bay Area Early Steps, including the referral process, available early intervention services, and opportunities for provider recruitment.
  • Conduct regular visits to partner agencies, healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations across Hillsborough and Polk counties to strengthen awareness and collaboration.
  • Distribute program brochures, flyers, and other community awareness materials at clinics, childcare centers, libraries, and community events.
  • Maintain a strong and consistent online presence through program websites, newsletters, and social media platforms to ensure families and providers have access to up-to-date information.
Public Awareness & Marketing
  • Develop, publish, and distribute a quarterly newsletter highlighting program updates, success stories, and upcoming events.
  • Manage and grow social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, website, etc.) by creating engaging content, responding to inquiries, and monitoring analytics to improve outreach effectiveness.
  • Coordinate participation in local health fairs, educational expos, and community events to promote program visibility and connect with families and providers.
  • Gather, track, and report referral data to established databases such as the Central Directory, United Way, and 211, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
Communication & Relationship Building
  • Develop and deliver professional presentations tailored to diverse stakeholders, including families, healthcare providers, educators, and community leaders.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with community partners to build trust and strengthen support for Bay Area Early Steps.
  • Serve as a liaison between the program and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Participate in ongoing public awareness campaigns, workshops, and events to reinforce the program s mission and expand its reach.
Provider & Service Coordinator Engagement
  • Implement strategies to enhance provider and service coordinator (SC) engagement, recruitment, and retention, ensuring a robust network of qualified professionals.
  • Collaborate with providers to identify challenges and develop solutions that improve service delivery and family satisfaction.
  • Facilitate opportunities for providers and staff to connect, share resources, and strengthen collaboration within the community.
  • Support professional development initiatives and recognition activities to encourage long-term provider commitment.
