Job Description
Medical Laboratory Scientist – Esoteric Molecular Laboratory (A)
Under general supervision, independently performs all levels of moderate and high complexity testing, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. Responsible for performing routine and specialized technical analyses. Operates and maintains instrumentation according to established laboratory procedures and protocols. Exercises independent judgment in recognizing and solving test‑related problems. Performs technical job duties as specified in CAP Regulations and Personnel Requirements for Tests of Moderate and High Complexity – Testing, and in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Shift differential eligible
Qualifications- Must be currently licensed as a Medical Technologist by the State of Florida Department of Health.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related area.
- Molecular experience preferred.

Remote Work: On site only
