Seasonal applicants must have a minimum of two years’ experience within the specific division and be deemed competent to work independently. Please review qualifications and apply for the recruiting team to review and assist with the interview process.
Under the supervision of the Interventional Radiology Section Manager and following established policies for various age groups, the technologist performs diagnostic procedures to assist radiologists in diagnosis and treatment. Radiographic procedures are performed according to protocols established for various age groups, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. A wide variety of technical procedures are performed, including but not limited to aortogram runoffs, arches, carotids, and extremities.
Exams require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Exams are conducted in a sterile environment and require venous access. The technologist assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required and assesses the age‑specific needs of patients.
- Graduate of a two‑year AMA‑accredited radiologic technology program.
- Registered ARRT.
- Current CPR certification.
- Florida licensure or ability to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire; will not perform exams prior to licensure evidence.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a hospital diagnostic imaging department.
