Pool Psychometrist - USFTGP Pediatrics

Job Description

A Psychometrist coordinates testing services, provides administrative oversight to the clinical laboratory assuring adequate supplies are available to provide comprehensive, state‑of‑the‑art patient care, and assists attending neuropsychology faculty with patient care activities as needed for the services of the USFTGP, Dept. of Psychiatry and Neurosciences, Division of Neuropsychology. This position reports directly to a licensed psychologist. The primary focus is on the administration and scoring of neuropsychological, cognitive, academic/achievement, and psychological tests under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field (required)
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

• Administers and scores cognitive, psychological, and general aptitude tests to a demographically diverse patient population across the life span (pediatrics: 3‑17, general adult: 18‑64, older adult: 65+).
• Observes and reports detailed test‑taking behaviors.
• Prepares the raw scores, t‑scores, scaled scores, standard scores, and percentiles and enters them into the Division’s template neuropsychological data table.
• Acted as liaison for providing cognitive testing services to other departments and branch campuses at the north and south sites.
• Participated in Division research projects and submitted proposals to Neuropsychological Conferences.
• Maintains testing inventory, completes monthly worksheets and orders testing materials from publishing companies and vendors.
• Follows Division Standard of Operating Procedures.
• Participated in biweekly Division meetings and scoring workshops.
• Proficient use of a computer and applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
