Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our Microbiology team in Tampa, FL. This position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus (External candidates only).

Tuesday - Saturday (6 AM - 2:30 PM), rotating every other weekend, 1st Shift

Employees working 20+ hours/week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Part-time employees working less than 20 hours can participate in the 401(k) plan.

• Supervise the daily operations of the Microbiology department
• Ensure accurate and timely laboratory testing and reporting
• Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel
• Monitor workflow and schedule assay coverage
• Ensure proper staffing for all shifts
• Research and resolve production errors, escalate when necessary
• Engage in process and service level improvements
• Maintain equipment through Quality Control
• Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records
• Evaluate and recommend process improvements
• Provide coaching and feedback to staff
• Perform bench work and maintain technical proficiency
• Ensure compliance with regulations
• Manage policies, procedures, payroll, and personnel files
• Perform administrative duties as needed

• Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technologist/Technician
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• FL State Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license required
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and state regulations
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to changing environments
• Physical ability to perform job duties
