Position Highlights: The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department in multiple locations and/or campuses. They interview, hire, counsel, discipline, and recommend Team Members for promotions. The Supervisor is responsible for training and developing Team Leads and Team Members to maintain high‑quality cleaning standards, adapt to changes, make operational decisions, and contribute to higher‑level departmental decisions.

• The candidate will have healthcare cleaning experience and strong leadership skills.

• Administrative: scheduling, counseling staff, project assignment and compliance, ordering, inventorying, and distribution of supplies and linen, interviewing and evaluating applicants, time/attendance validation, shift logs, approving PTO, maintaining team member files, and performing evaluations with merit increase recommendations.
• Quality Assurance: conduct quality inspections (visual and other), observations, cart inspections, and track team member progress.
• Communication: conduct weekly huddle meetings, train staff, give ongoing performance feedback, respond to customer needs, and resolve issues.
• Leadership: provide leadership, ensure adherence to policies, productivity standards, and safety guidelines, manage daily operations, problem‑solve, correctly allocate staff, and foster a positive, caring, respectful team‑building environment.

• High School Diploma/GED with nine (9) years of experience, including:
  • Five (5) years of environmental services or housekeeping (preferably hospital).
  • Two (2) years of customer service experience.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory or project lead experience.
  • Valid Driver's License; must obtain Florida Driver's License within 6 months.
  • Evidence of a good driving record, maintained per Moffitt policy.
• OR
  • AA/AS degree plus a minimum of seven (7) years of experience as above.
  • BA/BS degree with five (5) years of environmental service or housekeeping experience (preferably hospital) and two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • * Years of experience requirements can be reduced by two (2) years in any category with Moffitt related work experience.
