COMMISSION INVESTIGATOR –
The Florida Commission on Offender Review seeks a Commission Investigator – CS to support the state’s criminal justice system by conducting parole, release, and clemency investigations, interviewing inmates and stakeholders, preparing reports, and making recommendations to commissioners.

- Conduct probable cause and final violation hearings for parole, conditional release, medical release, and addiction recovery violators; schedule hearings, issue subpoenas, and provide recommendations to FCOR commissioners.
- Investigate clemency applicants for the Board of Executive Clemency, providing a comprehensive history of each applicant.
- Interview and investigate inmates eligible for parole, analyze prison files, and recommend suitability for release plans.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to interact with victims, inmates, and applicants.
- Ability to initiate and conduct interviews and investigations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Multitasking ability.
- Ability to write detailed, comprehensive reports.
- Research, interpretation, and analysis of official documents.
Preference may be given to applicants that possess a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Interview ProcessA written work sample may be provided at the start or conclusion of the verbal interview.
