Compliance and Operations Specialist (Finance)
Position Location: This position is required to be in-person in Tallahassee, FL.
Position Summary
The Compliance and Operations Specialist supports the implementation, compliance and continuous improvement of 21st CCLC programs across funded sites. This role ensures programs meet federal and state requirements, fosters program quality, and builds the capacity of subgrantees through monitoring, technical assistance and professional development. This position is grant funded.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, public administration, or a directly related field with 3-5 years of experience in program management, education, youth development or compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education, public administration, or a directly related field with 1-2 years of experience in program management, education, youth development or compliance.
- Strong understanding of 21st CCLC program requirements.
- Proficient skills in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, data systems (e.g., EZReports) and virtual collaboration tools.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication, public speaking and presentation skills.
Degree Equivalency Clause
Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibility
Responsibilities
Special Responsibility: This position is required to be in-person in Tallahassee, FL.
- Monitoring & Compliance: Conduct on-site and virtual monitoring visits to review program implementation and compliance; review documentation for alignment with grant goals and federal guidelines; prepare monitoring reports with strengths, areas for improvement, and follow-up actions; track and follow up on corrective action plans when needed; monitor and assist with field trip reporting documentation; review subrecipient compliance documents including closeout reporting documents.
- Collaboration & Communication: Act as a liaison between the State Program Office and subgrantee sites; participate in statewide meetings, technical assistance, webinars, and strategy sessions; coordinate with school districts and community partners to enhance alignment and collaboration.
- Strategic Planning & Sustainability: Support grantees in developing sustainability plans and identifying new funding or partnership opportunities; assist in the development of new program models or enhancements aligned with state goals.
- Other: Performs other duties as assigned.
