Position Overview:
The Senior Health Educator (SHE) will work in the Office of Minority Health as part of the Tobacco Program. The role focuses on managing initiatives related to smoke‑free multi‑unit housing, cessation access, and the county’s Tobacco Free Partnership. The incumbent will provide cross‑training and support for additional tobacco policy initiatives as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Tobacco prevention and use reduction, including cessation and secondhandКЂ smoke resources
- Coalition development and partnership building
- Program planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Effective written and oral communication in English
- Independent work under minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook
Qualifications:
Minimum- No use of any tobacco Wines or electronic nicotine delivery devices
- At least 1 year experience providing health education
- At least 1 year experience coordinating diverse stakeholders for a program or initiative
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Travel to all areas of Hillsborough County using own vehicle
- Experience intégrer tobacco control
- Bachelor’s degree in health education, public health, or related field
