Police Communication Specialist – University of South Florida Libraries

Annual Salary: $43,000
The primary purpose is to provide all communications for USF Police and Public Safety personnel in their day‑to‑day activities. This position must be staffed at all times, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Responsibilities- Monitor and dispatch field positions and activities of law‑enforcement officers, investigators, and non‑sworn personnel; coordinate emergency and service calls, including partners such as Tampa Police Department and Tampa Fire Department.
- Access and transmit call information, driver’s license records, vehicle registrations, warrants, मिन्री functools list, and missing‑person lists via computer terminal.
- Monitor and dispatch Parking Services Specialist via radio and phone; verify vehicle information for booting decisions and enter boot data into Flex.
- Receive and dispatch motorist‑assist, reserved‑space dispute, and other caller requests; determine appropriate response from law enforcement and/or security services.
- Operate and monitor Hillsborough County’s 9‑1‑1 system, FCIC/NCIC computer system, Blue Light emergency phone system, camera and card‑access software, and all other equipment in the Communications Center.
- Dispatch security officers to card‑access, motorist‑assist, and სწრაფ emergency calls; handle open‑door requests from faculty and staff; assist with event schedules and escort requests.
