The OrganizationThe Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) provides highway safety and security through excellence in service, education, and enforcement. With a workforce of approximately 4,500 employees across the state, the Department leads the way to a Safer Florida by issuing driver licenses, vehicle tags and titles, and operating the Florida Highway Patrol.

The MS Compliance Officer III is located in the Commercial Driver Licenses (CDL) & Third‑Party Testing Unit. Primary responsibilities include:
- Executing regulatory oversight through monitoring, site audits, technical assistance, and compliance enforcement for CDL third‑party administrators and testers.
- Inspecting operations and records of CDL third‑party administrators and testers to ensure adherence to state and federal laws and administrative rules.
- Assessing compliance, preparing reports, and providing guidance to maintain high standards.
- Understand, retain, and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Professional experience interpreting or applying laws, regulations, statutes, or administrative codes.
- Experience reviewing and verifying information.
- Commercial driver’s license and experience conducting inspections or audits, performing road tests, or training others on testing procedures, statutes, and rules related to commercial vehicles.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Selection process may include skill assessments and/or oral interviews.
- Applicants will undergo a fingerprint‑based background investigation, including FBI criminal history checks.
- Employment is paid monthly, with direct deposit required.
