Job DescriptionThe Red Gate Group is seeking a skilled Assessment Specialist to support CENTCOM at Mac Dill AFB in Tampa, FL. This position plays a vital role in enhancing CENTCOM’s external communications by delivering timely and insightful analysis of media and social media interactions with key audiences. The Assessment Specialist will help shape communication strategies and identify process improvements to maximize engagement and followership, providing essential analysis that supports the formulation of communication approaches and future goals for the CENTCOM Communication and Public Affairs (CCPA) section.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough analysis of media and social media interactions to inform CENTCOM's communication strategies.
- Research and assess media sources within identified countries to map media landscapes.
- Formulate communication approaches and recommend process improvements based on analysis of foreign media and social media data.
- Identify key foreign communicators, such as government officials, journalists, and religious leaders, and understand their influence and target audiences.
- Provide expert analysis on international relations, U.S. foreign and regional policy, global trade, economics, domestic security, and terrorism.
- Utilize tools and databases to analyze media outlets and relevant open‑source and classified data.
- Offer critical assessments and recommendations to enhance engagement and communications effectiveness for CENTCOM.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Experience in media communications, dissemination techniques, and methods.
- Experience conducting research to support media mapping within identified countries.
- Experience formulating communication approaches based on analysis of foreign media information.
- Experience formulating processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Experience with relevant tools and databases used to analyze foreign media outlets and other open source and classified data.
- Knowledge of key foreign communicators (government officials, journalists, religious leaders, etc.) and their leanings and target audiences.
- Knowledge of international relations, worldwide trade, U.S. foreign policy, regional policy, economics, domestic security, and terrorism.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of the U.S. military structure, culture, and language.
- Excellent communication, briefing, public affairs, and critical thinking skills.
- 5+ years of experience in media communications.
- 5+ years of experience conducting analytical assessments of media and social media products.
- Previous U.S. military experience (a plus).
- Knowledge and experience in marketing.
