Overview
We partner with regulated organizations seeking Internal Audit Consultants to support SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness initiatives. This role focuses on evaluating financial controls, supporting compliance testing, and assisting organizations in meeting internal audit and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support SOX compliance programs, including control design, documentation, and testing
- Perform walkthroughs and testing of financial and operational controls
- Identify control gaps, deficiencies, and remediation opportunities
- Assist with audit readiness and coordination with internal and external auditors
- Support remediation efforts related to control findings and audit observations
- Document audit procedures, findings, and compliance testing results
- Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Risk, and Audit stakeholders
- Ensure audit activities align with regulatory and compliance expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 4–8+ years of experience in internal audit, SOX compliance, or financial controls
- Strong understanding of SOX requirements, internal control frameworks, and audit methodologies
- Experience supporting audits within regulated or public company environments
- CPA, CIA, or similar certification preferred
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- $55-75/hour depending on experience
