Financial Manager
Norstrem Associates recruits key financial and administrative professionals for companies throughout Florida. We are one of the most established and longstanding boutique firms in Florida and have been working with upwardly mobile professionals since 1998.
A new client company has engaged us to recruit a crucial position. This Controller position requires specific knowledge of financial reporting requirements & processes, establishment of internal controls and analysis of financial results. This position requires the ability to perform high level financial accounting transactions as well as willingness to perform lower level duties.
This is a hands on position.
- Oversight and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage entire accounting function including but not limited to A/R, A/P, Payroll & Purchasing.
- Lead improvements and automation in Net Suite and other finance systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy and create a scalable accounting function.
- Special projects performed in conjunction with senior management to include post acquisition integration of accounting functions.
- Oversight and review of budget process activities for company.
- Work with executive financial leadership to establish and maintain financial metrics & KPIs.
- Business interface with multiple levels of executive management, auditors and field personnel.
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, accounting or finance. CPA strongly preferred. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in application of GAAP in financial reporting.
- 10+ years accounting experience with at least 2 years' national firm public accounting experience (preferred) and 5 years in a leadership capacity over a financial reporting function. Stable & upwardly progressive work history desired.
- Proven experience leading accounting department automation, improvements & scalability.
- Accounting leadership experience in a VC or PE backed company environment.
- Financial reporting experience with a company growing via acquisition, to include leadership and/or participation in post acquisition integrations.
- Strong computer skills including ERP proficiency, Net Suite experience strongly preferred. MS Office expertise mandatory.
- Proven ability and willingness to be a working leader.
