This search is focused on identifying a results-driven professional to join our client’s commercial banking team in the West Palm Beach market.
Position OverviewThe CRE Relationship Manager will focus on expanding client wallet share and product utilization through loan origination, deposit generation, and cross-selling of banking services tailored to client needs. This role serves as the primary client contact and transaction coordinator, managing relationships from initial prospecting and structuring through closing and ongoing portfolio oversight.
Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve and exceed established production goals for loan origination, deposit growth, and cross-selling of bank products and services.
Proactively engage with existing and prospective clients to assess financial needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions.
Develop new business opportunities through strategic networking, referral partnerships, and engagement with centers of influence (COIs).
Strengthen and expand existing client relationships to support long-term retention and portfolio growth.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of commercial real estate credit underwriting, including land acquisition, construction, bridge/transitional, and permanent financing.
Maintain an active presence in the West Palm Beach business community through professional organizations and networking events.
Support and manage strategic partnerships that drive business development opportunities.
Structure and negotiate complex CRE loan terms and documentation in collaboration with legal and advisory teams.
Partner with underwriting and portfolio management teams to maintain portfolio quality by monitoring policy exceptions, conducting credit reviews, ensuring covenant compliance, and performing site evaluations when necessary.
Prepare and deliver presentations to Loan Committees and senior leadership.
Review appraisals, environmental reports, cost analyses, and related documentation to ensure compliance with bank policies, approved terms, and regulatory standards.
Maintain working knowledge of interest rate derivatives, including swap structures and hedging strategies.
Conduct periodic site inspections for financed and prospective development projects.
Identify and assess credit risk exposures and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies, including BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and AML requirements. Report risk concerns to appropriate leadership or governance committees as needed.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, credit portfolio management, credit analysis, or CRE transaction structuring within the local market.
Formal credit training required.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s degree in Commercial Real Estate, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the West Palm Beach real estate market and expertise in real estate credit analysis, financial statement review, construction lending, and transaction structuring.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding loan production, deposit, and cross-sell targets.
Excellent leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including financial modeling, presentation development, and public speaking.
Exceptional networking, relationship management, time management, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
Must be registered (or eligible to register prior to employment) with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) and provide an NMLS identification number.
Successful completion of FBI background screening and credit review is required.
