Fiscal Specialist – Pre‑Audit Reconciler

The Student Success division at the University of South Florida (USF) supports students through academic, health, wellness, and enrichment services. This position provides critical pre‑audit reconciliation support to maintain financial accuracy and compliance with university and state requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare audit‑ready reconciliation packets for non‑E&G fund ledgers, department ledgers, and Foundation fund ledgers; compile documentation, identify discrepancies, research and resolve issues, and route for department approval.
  • Initiate journal entries and cost adjustments as directed and submit for review.
  • Assist with electronic filing, route documents for review/signature, maintain logs and databases related to job duties, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent with at least three years of work experience in fiscal support roles. College or other relevant post‑secondary coursework may substitute for experience on a year‑for‑year basis.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field and three years of professional fiscal experience.
