Job Description
Ledgent is seeking a Senior Accountant for one of our clients in the East Tampa area. This role is open due to growth and you will have the opportunity to work with exceptionally skilled team members including two CPAs. In this role, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing valuable insights to upper management.

- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and complete financial reports for upper management and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This includes regular financial statements, budget variance analysis, and other relevant reports.
Conduct in-depth analytics on income statements, identifying discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement. - Tax Compliance and Licensing:
- Oversee business licenses, foreign LLC registrations, and renewals for all company locations.
Process sales tax returns, ensuring accurate calculations and timely filing. - Fixed Assets Management:
- Create fixed assets from Construction in Progress (CIP) accounts. Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.
- Month-End Procedures:
- Prepare month-end journal entries, ensuring proper accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
Reconcile general ledger accounts related to revenue, expenses, and balance sheet items. - Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist the Accounting Manager, Controller, or CFO with ad-hoc reporting and special projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls. - Audit Support:
- Provide necessary documentation and support during year-end and quarterly audits.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements and address any audit-related inquiries.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
