Financial Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for a Financial Analyst for our client, which is a nationally recognized transportation and logistics organization known for its large specialized fleet, operational excellence, and commitment to continuous improvement. The Financial Analyst plays a key role in evaluating business performance, interpreting operational trends, and providing insights that directly support leadership decision-making. This individual will build analytical tools, extract and examine data, and collaborate with teams across corporate and field locations to drive process improvements and profitability.

• Develop analytical models, reporting tools, and dashboards that highlight operational and financial trends.
• Examine monthly results, identify variances, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Track and enhance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to measure business effectiveness.
• Research revenue opportunities and margin improvement initiatives across various business segments.
• Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and summaries for senior leadership.
• Support special projects, ad-hoc analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Partner with stakeholders at multiple levels to gather insights and validate data assumptions.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of financial analysis, business analytics, or related internship experience.

• Strong analytical, modeling, and data-mining capabilities.
• Experience with P&L analysis, variance analysis, and financial reporting principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Access.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex information.
• Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to manage shifting priorities.
• Self?motivated team contributor who approaches challenges with a solutions?oriented mindset.

This role is based in Tampa, FL, and operates on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 WFH).

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
