Overview
The Trade Support Analyst is a developing professional role responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the loan trading lifecycle. Responsibilities include coordinating across various internal teams to ensure the prompt and accurate application of commitment reductions and other lifecycle events, processing corporate actions in a timely and accurate manner, facilitating client onboarding, managing trade allocations, and maintaining high standards of quality control and reporting.
This role requires the ability to analyze and communicate complex information clearly and effectively to clients, the trading desk, and senior management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, accountable, ethical, results-driven, trustworthy, and credible. As the team is fully transitioned to Loan IQ (LIQ), the analyst will also contribute to troubleshooting system issues and supporting the implementation of updated workflows.

- Individual must perform under pressure, multitask, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Assist the team troubleshooting issues in LIQ, AMC, Loans
QT. - Be trained to back up several trade support functions such as onboarding, allocations, and corporate actions as business needs change.
- Deal with most loan-related problems independently and have some latitude to resolve complex issues, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines, or processes.
- Apply judgment when interpreting data, preparing reports, and present findings to management.
- Make resolution recommendations based on identified trends and facts.
- Design and analyze complex reports related to loan documentation processes to satisfy management requirements and support control activities.
- Participate in and support the implementation of projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Interpret data and make recommendations for the launch of new products/services and upgraded platforms that loan documentation/processing functions.
- Minimize risk to the bank through a solid understanding of procedural requirements, providing solutions to reduce errors and adhere to audit and control policies; serve as a checker for systematic transactions as a last line of defense.
- Timely escalation and resolution of all inquiries and issues related to loan trades.
- Apply a solid understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub-unit.
- Work closely with own team and internal stakeholders to meet client and business needs.
- Have direct interaction with external customers to disseminate or explain information.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Demonstrate understanding of loan processes, procedures, products and services.
- Able to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues.
- Reasonable awareness of risk types, policies and control measures and processes.
- Comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
- Candidate has quantitative skills with high proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft-based programs.
- Experience with LoanIQ is highly desired.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn and take on new projects as required.
- Exhibit excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
