Regional Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager (Transactional Accounting) leads and develops the accounting team while actively contributing to the completion of daily, monthly, and annual accounting tasks. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting operational and strategic objectives. In addition to guiding and mentoring team members, the Accounting Manager takes a hands-on role in performing critical accounting activities, fostering a collaborative environment where leadership and active participation go hand in hand.

• This role is responsible for overseeing 4 of our locations.
• Supervise and mentor senior accountants at each dealership site, ensuring consistency and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Responsible for regional accounting team performance including allocation of work and development of staff.
• Review and analyze site specific financial statements to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Assist financial leadership with development, improvement, and implementation of financial systems and accounting policies.

• Cash Management and Forecasting
• Monitor and manage cash flow across all sites to meet operational needs.
• Prepare and present cash forecasts, highlighting potential issues and recommending solutions.

• Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with site leadership and corporate finance.
• Review and consolidate site budgets to create a comprehensive regional budget.
• Track budget performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to leadership.

• Prepare consolidated financial statements and analysis for the region including budget to actual reconciliations.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Prepare and present periodic financial reports to executive leadership, including KPIs and performance metrics.
• Support decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and responses.

• Required:
  
  Bachelor s Degree in accounting/finance
• Required:
  
  7+ years of progressive transactional accounting experience, including multi-site operations.
• Required:
  
  Strong background in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Preferred:
  Experience in the automotive or dealership industry. (not required)

  Ability to travel to dealership sites within the region as needed.

  Ability to work in fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.

• Proficient in accounting software and financial systems; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
