We're looking for an experienced and highly analytical Reinsurance Accounting Manager to support our finance team. This role is responsible for accurate recording, analysis, and reporting of reinsurance activity, as well as ensuring treaty compliance and supporting statutory filings!
Responsibilities- Maintain and reconcile reinsurance GL accounts (ceded premium, losses, payables, recoverables).
- Prepare and process reinsurance settlements and review bordereaux.
- Monitor treaties for compliance and accurate financial reporting.
- Support month‑end/quarter‑end close and prepare related journal entries.
- Track and monitor collateral balances.
- Collaborate with claims, underwriting, and actuarial teams.
- Prepare reports for senior management, auditors, and regulators.
- Contribute to process improvements and reporting efficiencies.
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Lookups).
- Experience with accounting systems (EAS, SAP, Oracle).
- Familiarity with NAIC SAP.
- Strong analytical and multitasking skills.
