Senior Manager Financial Reporting

Overview

Located in Downtown Tampa. Our client is seeking a Manager of Reporting & Technical Accounting to support the overall accounting function and financial reporting while helping to solve technical accounting issues under US GAAP and International accounting standards. This position presents an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building out processes, learning and participating in a new rapidly growing business. This role includes managing the month end close process, financial reporting, researching technical accounting matters and drafting related position papers, standardization of policy and procedures, special projects, interaction with external auditors.

• Manage the consolidated financial reporting process, including, preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financials including the review financial disclosures for accuracy and completeness
• Assist in managing the month-end close process to ensure the accounting team processes accurate and timely journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly, and annual Management discussion and analysis reporting
• Lead implementation of new accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and monitor emerging accounting standards
• Research technical accounting issues and prepare memorandums for significant transactions, areas of accounting complexity, and M&A transactions
• Update internal control documentation and manage internal and external audit requirement
• Manage finance process improvement initiatives to create efficiencies and reduce time frames for deliverables in the financial close and reporting processes.
• Support other functional initiatives as needed as well as other ad hoc requests

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience, public company/private company accounting mix with financial reporting responsibilities is required
• CPA required
• Financial reporting compliance and workflow software experience highly preferred
• Big 4 public accounting experience a plus

Salary 150k+ Bonus
