Tax Manager

Seven Seas Water Group (SSWG) is a portfolio company of EQT, headquartered in Tampa with operations across the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America. SSWG delivers over 20 billion gallons of water annually and designs, builds, and operates water and wastewater treatment plants worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare work papers and supporting schedules for quarterly and annual income tax provisions.
  • Prepare work papers and schedules for annual income tax compliance for U.S. and international locations, including Forms 5472, FDII calculations, and Foreign Tax Credit reporting.
  • Coordinate and communicate with third‑party tax advisors to complete annual tax provision and compliance requirements.
  • Manage various tax reporting requirements such as Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding (WHT), sales & use, property, and other ad valorem tax returns.
  • Assist with other tax compliance and reporting as required.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s transfer pricing policies and reporting across jurisdictions.
  • Update transfer pricing policies periodically and coordinate with Accounting on transfer pricing charge calculations.
  • Maintain the roll forward of intercompany balances, ensuring accurate tracking of loans, interest, trade payables, and transfer pricing balances.
  • Maintain intercompany agreements and review relationships to identify when new agreements are needed.
  • Prepare intercompany interest calculations and related journal entries; prepare quarterly intercompany clearing journal entries.
  • Support Accounting, Tax, and Treasury teams with other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • Experience preparing Income Tax Provisions, understanding ASC 740 and income tax accounting concepts.
  • Experience preparing U.S. Federal Corporate Income Tax Returns; local tax compliance experience in international jurisdictions preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills with large data sets and pivot tables; proficiency in Word and familiarity with general ledger and financial reporting systems.
  • High degree of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Desire and ability to learn quickly and produce quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with superior attention to detail.
  • Research orientation to explore new jurisdictions as the company grows.
  • Flexibility to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, taxation, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of relevant work experience;
    Big 4, large CPA firm, and/or multinational public company experience required.
  • Existing knowledge of federal and state regulations, and ideally experience with international tax jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP is a plus.
