Overview
Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) seeks a Manager, CFO Services – Digital Finance. PEPI works with private equity portfolio companies to preserve and generate value, improve transparency to key drivers and business performance, support increasing cash and EBITDA, and deliver credible plans and execution for financial outcomes.
Responsibilities- Lead Digital Finance Transformation initiatives and implement digital technologies to improve efficiency and transparency (e.g., RPA, Finance Analytics, NLG, Predictive Forecasting).
- Assess Finance and Accounting functions; drive process improvements and automation across Finance in large public corporations or PE-owned portfolio companies.
- Develop and lead hypothesis/scope with client input, facilitate information gathering, conduct interviews, and ensure data completeness and timeliness.
- Identify business drivers and issues using industry and functional knowledge; develop actionable conclusions and serve as project lead for components with multiple service lines or smaller projects.
- Design cash-generating initiatives, EBITDA improvements, and optimal organizational structures; proactively manage client expectations and risks; create contingency plans.
- Engage with senior management and obtain buy-in for actionable plans; lead individual work streams independently when appropriate.
- Guide and manage project execution, ensuring timely delivery and effective change management.
- Leverage industry expertise and prior professional services experience to guide the team and promote innovative, analytical thinking.
- Manage client relationships during the project and take accountability for issues affecting the client and team.
- Create and lead cross-functional teams; demonstrate financial acumen with modeling and analysis of financial statements; drive P&L and balance sheet accountability.
- Interpret financial information and streamline related processes; apply controllership and finance/accounting advisory experience as needed.
- Graduation from an accredited 4-year college/university in accounting, finance, economics, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience with Digital Finance technologies (including RPA, Predictive Forecasting, Finance Analytics, NLG, data visualization).
- 8+ years in Accounting/Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analytics, and presentation skills.
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
Salary range: $125,000 – $190,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography. A discretionary bonus program may apply; details provided by recruiter.
