Job Summary & Responsibilities

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing and development of ONTO SDI's measurement equipment for the Semiconductor industry.

The position of Electrical Engineer shall be based in ONTO SDI, Tampa, FL. Electrical Engineer will report to Engineering Manager, who will oversee specific tasks and work schedule.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and have 5 years background experience in electromechanical design and manufacturing.

The position requires excellent communication skills in verbal and written English. It requires a highly self-motivated individual willing to take initiative in both solo and teamwork environments. The candidate should have the ability to work under pressure and tight timelines, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment, as well as possess strong problem-solving abilities.

Additional Qualifications and Areas of Responsibilities shall include:

1. Altium Designer proficiency

2. AutoCAD Mechanical proficiency

3.

Experience with Autodesk Inventor and/or Solidworks.

3. Experience in PCB design, both low and high frequency.

4.

Experience with electrical layouts and design (AC and DC)

5. Experience working on industrial equipment interlock and EMO safety systems.

6. Experience working with and maintaining NRTL safety and electrical certifications.

5. Strong technical writing skills

6. Experience working in a production and R&D environment

7. Background working with programmable instruments, motion controllers, oscilloscopes, and power supplies

8. Extensive hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assemblies

9. Extensive experience working independently, assembly technicians or other engineers troubleshooting electrical issues, improving designs, and developing new ones.

10. Work with application scientists in developing new test and R&D setups

11. Proficient at soldering of electrical cabling and PCB's (both through hole and surface mount components.

12. Ability to lift 50lbs

13. Hardworking and willing to do overtime

Compensation & benefits:

Compensation will be a base salary + health / retirement benefits in accordance with ONTO policy.

Domestic and International travel may be required up to ~10% of time.

Compensation & Growth

* Base Salary Range:

$66,080.00 - $99,120.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.

* Additional Rewards:
