iQuasar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AV Systems Engineer / Sr Tech to design, implement, optimize, and maintain cutting‑edge audio visual (AV) and video teleconferencing (VTC) solutions, primarily within the Department of Defense (DoD) environment. This pivotal role requires a unique blend of advanced engineering expertise for system design and architecture, combined with hands‑on leadership in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of complex AV/VTC systems.

The successful candidate will translate client requirements into actionable designs, lead project installations, ensure robust system performance, and maintain strict adherence to DoD security standards.

• Lead and assist A/V installation teams in installing, maintaining, operating, and upgrading A/V equipment and VTC units
• Perform preventive maintenance on A/V and VTC systems and related equipment (may include climbing ladders and use of lift devices; requires proficiency with normal working tools, soldering and crimping connections)
• Provide client consulting and training on controls, interfaces and use of A/V and VTC equipment
• Troubleshoot software for Extron, Crestron, AMX, Cisco, and Polycom A/V and VTC equipment
• Provide field reporting updates to Strategic Project Managers as necessary
• Provide life‑cycle refresh projects for VTC infrastructure and A/V equipment build‑out projects
• Assist in developing Scope of Work (SOW), building Bill of Materials (BOM), maintaining and updating project documentation, attending customer‑facing meetings, and performing customer briefings as required
• Conduct site surveys; strong knowledge of telecom systems, TCP/IP networks, CCTV security and/or access control systems preferred
• Assist with voice/data structured cabling installations (pull/terminate/test CAT 6a), install cable pathway systems, test, label and document cabling
• Lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds of VTC and A/V equipment without assistance

• Secret Clearance is required
• Hold an appropriate certification for the designated role as per DoD 8140.01; possession of a DoD 8140.01 approved baseline certification or higher
