Stormwater Technical Manager

OneSparQ is looking for a Stormwater Technical Manager for an engineering consulting firm based in Tampa, FL.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in stormwater engineering
• Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Proven experience delivering Florida-based stormwater projects, such as flood mitigation, drainage improvements, and resiliency initiatives
• Strong proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling
• Demonstrated experience working with multiple Florida municipalities

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level guidance on stormwater engineering to ensure all project deliverables are technically sound and meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Lead and oversee technical execution across stormwater projects, serving as the go‑to subject matter expert for internal teams.
• Support business growth in Florida by identifying emerging stormwater needs, tracking upcoming opportunities, and helping shape a strong project pipeline.
• Anticipate market trends and advise leadership on future project focus areas and strategic positioning within the Florida stormwater sector.
• Represent the company in client-facing settings with professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Collaborate closely with the business development team to bridge technical expertise with forecasting, client engagement, and pursuit strategy.
• Provide high-level insight into both the technical and commercial aspects of stormwater work to support proposal development, client conversations, and long-term planning.
