We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Water Team to improve infrastructure in our Florida offices. The candidate must be a licensed PE with a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and five to ten years of related experience. Experience with process engineering in water and wastewater treatment facilities, strong writing, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
A flexible hybrid‑remote schedule is available after 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities- Provide technical planning, biological process, and mechanical design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects.
- Prepare engineering calculations, run process models (e.g., Excel, Biowin, GPS-X), and support analysis of alternatives.
- Document alternative analyses, basis of design, business case evaluations, and P&.
- Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standards.
- Assist with specifications and permit submittals.
- Review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks.
- Monitor task budget and progress.
- Document design changes and communications.
- Conduct on‑site inspections and provide technical guidance for start‑up.
- Prepare project status reports.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals.
- Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings.
- Maintain excellent client relations and a safe working environment.
- Participate in the Florida Water Environment Association or similar organization as a committee member.
- Publish and present papers at state and national conferences and serve as an active member in the Wade Trim Water and Wastewater Treatment Practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 5–10 years of related experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Experience with large-scale piping, valve, pumping systems, and treatment technologies.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Experience developing detailed design plans for treatment projects.
- Expertise in activated sludge processes, nitrification, denitrification, phosphorous removal, and biosolids treatment.
- Ability to assist with sales efforts for large‑scale projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
