- Learning heavy civil scopes, construction methods, techniques, costs, scheduling, plans analysis
- Support of estimators/engineers by preparing supporting documents for heavy civil highway/bridge construction projects
- Learn computer design/drafting (CAD) software to quantify plans for estimators/engineers
- Learn to create and revise drawings, checking dimensions of plan, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to the project. Assignments will also involve tasks associated with quantity computations and cost estimates under the supervision of estimator/engineer
- Learn the aspects of Design Build projects and interactions with our design partners/engineers
- Learn the maintaining and organizing of plan drawings, quote solicitation & software, bid records
- College degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Experience in CAD and BIM strongly preferred.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Must work well in a collaborative environment
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Must possess excellent oral/written communication skills
- Must possess a high degree of detail orientation
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, specifically excel, outlook, and word
