Senior Water / Wastewater Project Manager
HDR invites a proven leader with exceptional technical expertise in water and wastewater to join our Florida Water Business Group as a Senior Water / Wastewater Project Manager.
Primary Responsibilities- Scope, plan, manage, direct, and monitor medium to large drinking water and wastewater projects with high technical complexity.
- Interface with clients while independently leading and supervising teams of engineers and CAD professionals.
- Develop planning documents (master plans), preliminary engineering reports, detailed designs including plans and specifications, and cost estimates.
- Prepare preliminary design, basis of design reports, routing and alignment studies, and other engineering reports.
- Write engineering specifications and front‑end documents; oversee production of design drawings.
- Develop and execute QA/QC and risk management plans for each project.
- Lead client management and business development activities, including pursuit planning, proposals, interviews, and client strategy.
- Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the water/wastewater industry.
- Strong relationships with clients in the Orlando area water/wastewater marketplace.
- Experience leading process‑mechanical detailed design and supervising staff.
- Excellent communication, time‑management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 10 years of related experience.
- At least 5 years of project management experience.
- Professional engineer (PE) license licensed in the applicable state.
- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
- Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
