Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking an experienced CEI Senior Inspector to join our growing team and support a variety of transportation infrastructure projects located in the Tampa, FL area. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful work that helps shape the region's infrastructure while working alongside a collaborative and professional team.

  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications and / or code requirements by performing inspection duties. Performs field inspections and / or audit duties and maintains inspection records. Ensures all contract documents represented by working drawings and specifications are properly executed
  • Performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, marking, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests
  • Coordinating and managing the lower level inspectors
  • Performing work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Responsible for setting own project deadlines
  • Provides on the job training to new employees
  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and / or code requirements by performing inspection duties
  • Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records
  • Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
  • Tracks quality assurance progress
  • Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma plus 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the work
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

  • Four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
  • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
