this position will plan workflows, deadlines, and work objectives to properly perform preliminary engineering studies and provide timely environmental documentation to meet production schedules. Responsible for managing the district project development program. Make educated engineering decisions on roadways and bridge alternatives selections to avoid project complications as well as signs and seals plans as the registered professional engineer.

your specific responsibilitiessupervises employees spending most of their time communicating with motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees’ work. Supervises employees who comprise the project development section of the environmental management office. Supervision of these employees includes leave approval, timesheet approval, assignment of tasks, employee performance appraisals, training assignments, training request approvals, employee task monitoring, counseling of subordinate employees, disciplinary actions, and other supervisory related duties and responsibilities.

directs project development & environment (pd&e) project managers with the administration and production of environmental documents and all supporting documentation for approval by the lead federal agency. Oversee the timely and accurate production of environmental and engineering documents, the prompt coordination and response to local and federal agencies, and the completion and submission of the environmental documents required to receive federal approval (referred to as the location and design concept acceptance [ldca]) of these highly detailed documents.
